The Last of Us Part 2 has been in production for some time now, following its reveal at the PlayStation Experience event in 2016.

Whilst we know barely anything about the game beyond the exciting trailer, it has been revealed that Shannon Woodward from the HBO show Westworld will be joining the cast in an unannounced role.

She took to Twitter to announce the news, featuring in a full Mocap suit next to Neil Druckman, the Creative Director at Naughty Dog.

Shannon plays Elsie in the show, a no-bullshit programmer who diagnoses the behavioural problems in the theme parks hosts.

Her tenacious performance in Season 1 of the TV series would be a great fit for the post-apocalyptic world of The Last Of Us, so it’ll be interesting to see what part she plays in the sequel.

Could she be a relative of the main character Ellie? Or another lone survivor in the post-apocalypse? Let us know what you think in the comments.
