After a long 4 month drought of information Capcom has finally opened the floodgates and revealed more information about Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite.

First up we have a firm release date of September 19th, 2017 and the platforms for launch are the PS4, Xbox One and PC.  In a blog over on Capcom Unity it has been revealed that as well as a cinematic story mode we will be seeing; Arcade, Training, Mission and Online Modes.

Speaking of the cinematic story, Capcom gave us our first taste in the form of a trailer, revealing the villain to be Ultron Sigma, a fusion of Ultron and Sigma from the Megaman Universe.

We also have been truly spoiled with a massive roster showcase featuring:

  • Ultron
  • Thor
  • Hulk
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Hawkeye
  • Chun-Li
  • Strider Hiryu
  • Chris Redfield

The newcomers will join the previously announced Ryu, Megaman X, Morrigan, Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Captain America.

In addition to the roster news Capcom have also detailed the various purchase options featuring:

  • Standard Edition ($59.99 RRP)

Pre-ordering the standard edition will net you Evil Ryu and Warrior Thor as premium costumes.

  • Deluxe Edition ($89.99 RRP)

Pre-ordering will get you the two costumes from the Standard Edition as well as Gladiator Hulk (Thor Ragnarok anyone?) and Command Mission X. The Deluxe will also contain the 2017 Character Pass which will get you six post-launch DLC characters, beginning with Sigma.

  • Collector’s Edition ($199.99 RRP)

This collector’s edition is packed with goodies starting with four, that’s right FOUR interlinking statues featuring Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Chun-Li and Megaman X. Also included in the set are LED powered Infinity Stones and all the content featured in the Deluxe Edition.

Various in-game screenshots have been shown featuring the new characters and stages, revealing the game’s UI for the first time.

With the title being revealed for a September 19th release, we can expect to see a lot more from Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite over the next 5 months before release. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more is revealed.
