Having recently acquired the latest Zelda entry, Breath of the Wild for Switch, much of my time over the last few weeks has been spent shouting at Link for his inability to maintain a weapon for more than twenty seconds. Despite this though, I have once again fallen in love with the rich environment that Nintendo seem to consistently nail throughout their flagship franchise.
Zelda fans across the UK will be able to step into Link’s realm this summer as Nintendo partner with popular escape room designer, SCRAP to bring to life a Zelda inspired fantasy realm.
The experience, adequately named “Defender’s of the Triforce” has already toured 15 countries including the USA and Canada and will arrive at the Islington Assembly Hall, London on July 14th.
Unlike a traditional escape room, Defender’s of the Triforce will pit teams of six against each other to solve a mystery against the clock. This differs from a traditional escape room where participants must solve clues in order to break out of a locked door.
The experience will encourage team members to interact with classic items and characters found throughout The Legend of Zelda series such as the Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes.
“We wanted to make sure ‘Defenders of the Triforce’ felt as authentic as possible,” said Doc Preuss, Real Escape Game Producer for SCRAP. “Fans of The Legend of Zelda series will adore the tour and won’t want to miss it”.
The event, whilst only in the capital for a limited time still has tickets available which can be purchased through SCRAP’s official website, where further information about the experience can also be attained.
