Electronic Arts have released a new gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II. The trailer, which is roughly a minute in length, looks to promote several locations and scenarios that will play out through Battlefront II’s fighter gameplay.
Across the trailer, we see cameo appearances from both the Jedi and the Sith. Fan favourite Sith Lord Darth Maul can be seen leading a squadron of fighters for the dark side of the force whilst the heroes fly through space under the experienced wing of Jedi Master Yoda. The thumbnail of the video also highlights appearances for the Millenium Falcon and a ship resembling that of Jango Fett’s in Attack of the Clones.
The title, which releases November 17th, will launch with both multiplayer and single player campaigns. Although unlike previous Star Wars titles, the single-player mode will be played out through the eyes of the empire.
The trailer also looks to give a glimpse towards the various locations in which aerial combat will take place. Amongst the notable planets and star systems, fans are able to see battles around the regions of Endor amidst the debris of the fallen death star – sometime after Return of the Jedi. In addition, appearances are made by an Imperial Shipyard in Fondor, a Lucrehulk Battleship in Ryloth and an inner atmosphere battle at one of Kamino’s research outposts.
The trailer looked to show off the game’s stunning graphics, however, showed little in terms of the specific way that space battles will be carried out. Star Wars Battlefront II will launch for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in time for the holiday period this year.
