PLAY Expo Manchesterthe largest video game expo in the North of England, has announced a new initiative to provide free space to Indie developers and publishers, in order to showcase their titles at the upcoming event, taking place October 14th and 15th 2017 at EventCity, Manchester.

Returning for a sixth year, PLAY Expo Manchester is a two-day video game event, suitable for all the family and offers visitors features, tournaments, exhibitors, industry guests, panels and more. Celebrating gaming and popular culture, the expo caters for casual fans and dedicated gamers alike. This year they’re aiming to highlight the efforts of smaller development teams, and provide a spotlight for eclectic titles to shine.

At this year’s event, PLAY Expo Manchester will be welcoming Indie teams, providing free space to display their games to the public. Certainly, something not to be sniffed at with 25,000 visitors last year.

Of course, Indie Devs can’t just appear on the day. Free space will be awarded on a case-by-case basis, only available to small teams looking for a place to bring their titles to the public for the first time.

Andy Brown, Director for Replay Events said, “PLAY Expo Manchester has long championed smaller titles and the Indie community at large. Our visitors tell us year-after-year that Indie gaming is hugely important in their decision to attend the event, and this year we’re incredibly excited to open our doors to the Indie community like never before.”
